  LESSON NO. 25-CONDITIONAL SENTENCES Subject English Grade 10 th Conditional sentences are used to express that the action in the main clause can only take place if a certain condition is fulfilled. Conditionals describe the result of a certain condition. Conditionals have two clauses: if clause and Main clause. The if-clause tell us the condition (if you study hard) and the main-clause tells us the result (you will pass your exams). TYPES OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCES : There are four types of conditionals: i.                     Zero Conditionals ii.                   Conditionals Type 1 iii.                 Conditionals Type 2 iv.                 Conditionals Type 3 i.                     Zero Conditionals: Zero conditionals are used to talk about things that are generally true, especially for laws and rules, as such; i.                     When/if I drink too much coffee, I can`t sleep at night. ii.                   Ice melts when/if you hot it. iii.

  LESSON NO. 24- CONSTRUCTION OF SENTENCES AND  TYPES OF SENTENCES Subject English Grade 10 Th There are five different kinds of sentences;  Note: in English, each type of sentences and the first line in case of a poem, start with a capital letter. It is important to remember that the Assertive, Imperative and Optative sentences end up with a full stop (.) whereas the interrogative sentences with a note of interrogation (?) and the exclamatory sentences with a note of exclamatory (!). These five types of sentences are again divided into two types: 1.       Interrogative 2.       Negative  Note: However, in Transformation of sentences we can use ‘not’ with the opposite word or the phrase’ it is not that’ to keep the meaning unchanged e.g. Affirmative—Ali is a good boy. Negative—Ali is not a bad boy. Affirmative ---He is a Pakistani. Negative---It is not that he is not a Pakistani. Sentence Pattern In English, Assertive, Interrogative, Imperative, Optative and Exclama
