Lesson Planning of Ascending & Descending Order Subject Mathematics Grade 2 nd Students` Learning Outcomes §   Arrange numbers up to 999, written in mixed form, in increasing or decreasing orders. §   Identify numbers given in ascending or descending orders.   Information for Teachers §   Ascending order means the arrangement of numbers from smallest to greatest. §   Descending order means the arrangement of numbers from greatest to smallest. §   With the help of the concept of comparison we arrange numbers in ascending or descending orders. Material / Resources Writing board, chalk / marker, duster, textbook Introduction Tell the students, that sometimes backward counting is very useful for the identification of numbers. Specifically when we are moving towards a destination ascending order and descending order are very important. Tell them that in descending order we move from greatest number to smallest number and in ascending order ewe move from sma

METHODOLOGY FOR TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR

METHOD OF TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR Indeed, one may know all the words in a sentence and yet fail to understand it, if one does n`t see the relationship between the words in given sentence. No speaking is possible with the knowledge of grammar, without the forming of grammar mechanism. Grammar is something that produces the sentences of language. Correct selection of a grammar teaching material is the first steps towards the elimination of mistakes. HOW TO TEACH GRAMMAR?   FUNCTION OF GRAMMAR IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING The value of grammar in foreign / second language teaching has been a focus of debate for many decades, and no conclusion is in sight still and needs to further analyze. The expected answer to whether grammar should be taught and to what extent grammar should be taught depends on some variables in the language teaching/learning context, such as learner variables and instructional variables. There are two conflicting views regarding the function of grammar: 1.       Scientific view: According to this view the function of grammar is merely to describe the main characteristics of current usage.   Lesson Planning of Solar System Subject General Science Grade 5 th Students` Learning Outcomes After studying this lesson, students will be able to: Describe the solar system and its planetary arrangement showing the position of the earth in our solar system. Explain the relative size of the planets and their distance from the sun using a model. Science Process Skills Observing, Measuring / Using Numbers, communicating, inferring, predicting, classifying, making and using models Link with previous knowledge: The students have learned the following concepts in the previous class: We live on a heavenly body called the earth. The shape of the earth is spherical. The earth spins about its vertical axis which results in day and night. The earth also moves around the sun known as its orbital motion. Information for Teachers We know that the earth is a planet and the sun is a star. We also know that the earth goes around the sun. The path of the earth around
