                                                     ►      STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOMES      



            Demonstrate the Animals



            Differentiate between Animal with backbone and without backbone

.

            Define the worms, Parasites, Round worms, Flat worms and Earth worms.



          Differentiate between Round, Flat, Earth worms and Parasites.



►      INFORMATION FOR THE TEACHER



            Teacher knows that:



            There are two groups of Animals. 1. Animal with backbone

            2. Animals without backbone.

Worms: Round worms, Flat worms, Earth worms and Parasites.



Round worms: Their body is round and cylindrical. Both ends are pointed. Many kinds of round worms live in the body of human beings and other Animals. They are harmful for human health.



Flat worms: These animals are thin and flat like a leaf or a tape. Most of the Flat worms are parasites and cause diseases.



Earth worms: Its body is also round, long and pointed at both ends. It makes barrows in the soil and live there. It get its food from the rotten matters in the soil.



Parasites: The Animals that get food from the body of other animals and are harmful for them.



►      DURATION

            5 periods / 40 minutes





►      MATERIAL REQUIRED  / A.V AIDS

            Charts, Photographs, White board, ruler, Pointer etc.





                              

►      INTRODUCTION



            Ask students about Animals



      Write the responses of the students on the board.

            Ask the students Animals without backbone.



Correct the students where required.



►      DEVELOPMENT



Activity 1: Draw some pictures of worms and ask the student about



Round worms, Flat worms, Earth worms and Parasites.



Activity 2: Show some photographs of Animals and ask the students



About Animals with backbone and without backbone.







►      ASSESSMENT



Give the students following questions and ask them to tell the answer individually.



  ☼    How many groups of Animals?



  ☼    Define the Round worms.



  ☼    Define the Flat worms.



  ☼    Define the Earth worms.



  ☼    Define the parasites.



  ☼    Differentiate between Animal with backbone and without

     backbone.          



►      HOME WORK / FOLLOW UP



Ask students to write in 4 – 5 lines about the topic.
