Students` Learning Outcomes
- Classify and change the gender of more nouns from immediate and extended environment (Masculine/Feminine. Neuter)
- Recognize and identify the common gender used for both male and female.
Information for Teachers
- Masculine- the masculine gender is used for male nouns (boys, men and male animals, as; man, lion, king, horse).
- Feminine-the feminine gender is used for female nouns (girls, women, and female animals, as (woman, lioness, queen, and mare).
- Neuter- the neuter gender represents non-living things, as; chair, table, tree, car, etc.
- The masculine and feminine gender nouns may be distinguished from each other in three away, as;
- By a different ending, as; actor/actress, lion/lioness, tiger/tigress, host/hostess,
- By forming compound words, as; gentleman/gentlewoman, grandfather/grandmother, landlord/landlady,
- Common gender nouns are nouns that are used for both males and females, as; children, doctor, parent, bird,
- While teaching the lesson, the teacher should also consult the textbook at all the steps wherein and whenever it is required.

Introduction
- Ask the students, “How many males and females are there in their house?”
- After taking their feedback write some masculine and feminine genders on the board, as; husband, grandmother, father, heroine, gentleman, brother, hen, etc.
- Ask them to tell the related gender of each word and write it on the board.
- Appreciate them by giving some encouraging remarks like ‘Good’ or ‘Well-done’.

Sum up / Conclusion
- Recap what masculine, feminine, common, and neuter genders are? Orally ask the students some nouns and their gender.
- Find the exercise related to the topic in the textbook. Students must do this exercise in the notebook or on the textbook.
Assessment
- Assess the students` ability to classify nouns according to their gender through their responses in the introductory activity.
- Assess the students` ability to recognize common gender nouns through the correct nouns selected in the activity 2 and follow up
- Involve the students in solving the problems given in the exercise at the end of unit/chapter.
Follow up
- Ask the students to write in notebooks ten masculine, feminine, neuter and common genders that they find in their surroundings.
- Use the given words on flashcards for Activity 1.
- Classify the following nouns according to gender.
