  • Much of the teaching in our classes is done in a traditional monologue fashion. The children sat quietly in the desks in the classroom, the teacher made the whole discussion, and the students listened passively to the teacher. They only speak when asked and do as they are told. Studies have proven that when students are taught this way, they gain very little knowledge (about 5%). Studies also show that students' learning improves when their active participation is secured.
  • In traditional classrooms, most students' ability to learn is limited to copying what is written on the board, and they cannot actively process information through thought, comparison, and analysis. Because of this limited mental ability, students lose interest in learning. Another reason is that teachers do not change their teaching style according to the needs of the subject.
  • Students' interest and active participation in learning can be increased by using various interactive activities in the classroom. Activities like these also allow students to create their own knowledge. When planning this activity, the teacher should ensure the participation of all students.
