According to a World Bank analysis, only 10 to 15 percent of graduates are eligible for better employment. The fifth-grader cannot calculate the second-grade. These young people become useless when they come to higher education. Enrollment in higher education in Pakistan is 18%. In other words, one is much less than other major countries in the world and 47% of them are useless. Even after spending fifteen years of their lives in education, 55% of graduates earn only 2,000.
In recent days, the President of the Republic has expressed regret over the fact that not a single Pakistani university has been named among the top 2,000 universities in the world. On the one hand, the number of unemployed is increasing and on the other hand, unemployment is also increasing. Due to which the balance of the society is deteriorating. Poverty is becoming a menace to society, because higher education is based on primary education. However, in our country, only signing is counted in education. The provinces are a bit overwhelmed by this backwardness, let's look at the reasons for it, and try to find a solution.
(1) Lack of funds: Lack of funds is a big fact, and the funds that are allocated, not being used properly is also a big reason. Due to lack of funds, basic facilities are not available in many rural schools. About 3% of the budget is earmarked for higher education.
(2) Lack of teachers: The appointment of teachers is becoming a political issue. Due to lack of funds, there are vacancies for millions of teachers. About fifty students need a teacher, which is affecting education.
(3) Weaknesses
in education policies: The current education policy is in fact British policy,
this policy is designed with the rich and influential people in mind, although
the provinces are economically backward, the number of backward and minority
classes are high.
(4) According
to a report, the dropout rate for grades one to five is 75% and for grades one
to eight is 58%. Needed, that's why he can't continue his education.
(5)
Non-participation of citizens: Because the majority is facing poverty and
ignorance, not all of them can join the field of education.
(6) Selfish and
ineffective supervision: The body that oversees it is in fact selfish; it lacks
the sincerity, passion and dedication to serve the society and its work. An
excellent learning environment was developed.
(7)
Interference of political personalities and bureaucrats: Due to the
interference of these people, the entire education system becomes a victim of
politicization. This politics is also embedded within the teachers and
students, as a result of which the school becomes a political arena. Is.
(8) Different
attitudes of rural people: so unless the people of the villages are connected
to education, the education system will not be reformed.
Problem solving:
(1) Teachers should be trained in a professional manner and their inner responsibility should be created.
(2) The primary education system should be reviewed, the poor should be taken into consideration and no compromise should be made on quality.
(3) The
curriculum should be rearranged, which accommodates all sections of the
society.
(4) A
monitoring body should be formed, which should keep an eye on the entire
education system at all times.
(5) Educational awareness campaigns should
be run especially in rural areas.
(6) Education
should be linked with employment.
(7) The entire
education system should be handed over to educationists, the curriculum,
policy, and the entire system should be designed by educationists, political
influence should be removed from this entire system.
(8) University
and college students should be made sensitive in the field of education.
(9) A separate
education policy should be formulated for the provinces. (2) The schemes run
for minorities should be properly implemented and the process should be made
easier.
